The Australian School of Emergency Management (ASEM) is a Registered Training Organisation (21176) offering nationally accredited, competency-based training programs to Advanced Diploma level for emergency management personnel.  ASEM has been assessed as being fully compliant with the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) Standards. The rigorous audit processes confirm that ASEM is a best practice provider of emergency management training and assessment.

The company's directors are practitioners with extensive management, emergency management and training experience, including at Emergency Management Australia's training institute at Mt Macedon.

ASEM conducts the Advanced Diploma of Public Safety (Emergency Management). It is a significant industry qualification which is developed against the National Competency Standards for Emergency Managers and which provides a practical and task oriented learning program. Students  may choose to complete the Advanced Diploma or to study one or more units of competency for which Statements of Attainment are then issued.

ASEM also offers the nationally accredited Public Safety (Community Safety) qualifications: Certificate IV, Diploma and Advanced Diploma of Public Safety (Community Safety).

All our courses are offered in full distance education format with no residential or attendance requirements. Recognition of Prior Learning is available and units contain detailed information on the relevant process and requirements.   

Assessment is by work-related projects and assignments which are tailored to an individual's organisational activities. Course fees are paid by unit.

In addition to conducting nationally accredited qualifications, ASEM also designs, develops and conducts customised training programs to meet the specific needs of clients.
